We recommend 2%-3% of your dog's healthy body weight being daily based on life stage and energy requirements. For puppies and pregnant/lactating females, we recommend 4%-6% of body weight daily. For senior or weight conscious dogs, we recommend 1.5%-2% of body weight daily depending on the fat content of the different proteins.
Most dogs need a slow & steady transition from one food to another. Simply start with adding a small amount of OC Raw Dog Freeze Dried food to any diet and slowly start adding more while decreasing the old food until you are feeding 100% OC Raw Dog. This process can take days or weeks depending on the sensitivity of the dog's digestive system.
The chart below is a general feeding guideline:
Complete Re-hydrated Diet
To reconstitute one (1) ounce of freeze dried food, add two (2) ounces of water. The texture slowly changes from soupy back to its natural state like the frozen version as it sits. If your pet prefers complete re-hydration, let it sit overnight in your refrigerator.
Safe Handling Instructions:
For maximum freshness, we recommend you store the food in the bag and keep it sealed when not in use. Store at room temperature in a cool, dry space. We recommend you store the food separate from ready-to-eat foods and always wash your hands, bowls and handling surfaces with hot soapy water after use. If the food is not completely consumed within 2 hours, you may store it in the refrigerator until the next feeding, after 24 hours discard any leftovers.
All Protein Formulations have been specifically designed for easy rotation and transition from other foods.
OC Raw Dog's Rabbit & Produce™ is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.
