In addition to being beneficial to dogs suffering from obvious coat and skin issues, the ingredients in maxxiomega are beneficial for dogs throughout their entire life. As a puppy, the additional fatty acids help with brain development. Dogs in the middle of their life enjoy joint support through maxxiomega’s anti-inflammatory properties. And older dogs benefit with support for blood sugar and cholesterol level regulation.

We also add in vitamin E, which helps the body balance the increased levels of Omega 3 and 6. Without this additional Vitamin E, the body could develop a deficiency. We finish our maxxiomega formulation with biotin, vitamins A, and D3.
Ingredients sourced directly from fish fat, flaxseed and soybean
The safest fish oil for dogs comes from fish that store fat in their body, like menhaden, tuna, or sardines. We source our fish fat oil responsibly from menhaden, harvested in regulated waters in the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Fish oil sourced from fish liver has unpredictable and often excessive levels of Vitamin A and D, which can harm the liver of dogs if not properly controlled.
We use omega 6 from unrefined, expeller-pressed soybean oil. Unrefined oils have a longer potency life and maintain their existing vitamins, thanks to their natural preservatives, which are readily digestible and utilized by the body. Finally, we reinforce the fish and soybean oil with that of flaxseed in order to combine DHA, EPA and ALA fatty acids.
What is omega 3?
Omega 3 has anti-inflammatory properties and as such offers various health benefits for dogs. Omega 3 helps with various dog skin problems, like dry itchy skin and dog skin allergies. It can also improve dog arthritis, autoimmune conditions, cardiac diseases, eye disorders, epilepsy, and other common dog health related issues.
What is omega 6?
Omega 6 is an essential fatty acid for dogs, i.e. the dogs must get it through their diet. For this reason, most commercial dog food today contains omega 6 but the best sources of omega 6 are soybean, sunflower, and safflower oils. Dogs with dry itchy skin or dull brittle coat will benefit from omega 6 supplementation.

What is omega 9?
Omega 9 is non-essential fatty acid, meaning the body can produce it naturally. However, increased level of DHA and EPA fatty acids (through omega 3 supplementation) causes the body to use up its reserves of omega 9.
